President Obama recently said that CIA officials would not be prosecuted for using waterboarding and other harsh interrogation techniques, the details of which had been recently released by his administration.

Do you believe that this is an appropriate action — to insulate these government officials from prosecution — who were interrogating prisoners using methods that were not “specifically” prohibited during the Bush adminstration, though they pushed the envelope to the limit for acceptable interrogation techniques?

The Blame Game starts at home??

Caps on executives’ salaries, investigation of the Madoff scandal, the financial meltdown — we are impounded with news on these sensational issues. It seems like we live in troubled times. What brought us here? While we can blame Wall Street, the economy, the banks, are we not responsible too?

What can we do at our level — as students in a classroom, as employees in the work place — what can we do to learn from these mistakes?

What do you see around you that you would like to change, and how would you go about changing this?
